तलाश एक घर की

( ये नई शताब्दी के शुरूआती साल हैं और इंसान के लिए एक ही फ़िक्र है "रोटी, कपडा और मकान". दुनिया के सारे इंडस्ट्रियल revolutions जिस समस्या को सुलझाने के लिए शुरू हुए थे, लगता है कि इंसानी सभ्यता फिर से वहीँ पहुँच गई है. बीती शताब्दी के शुरूआती सालों में अखबार हर साल ये बताते थे कि  धरती पिछले साल की तुलना में थोड़ी ज्यादा गर्म हो गई और ये कि  ये साल अब तक का सबसे गर्म साल था; ग्लोबल वार्मिंग के बारे आर्टिकल्स छापते थे कि  भविष्य में ऐसा या वैसा होगा या हो सकता है.

लेकिन अब इंसान अपने सामने उन सब परिवर्तनों को होते देख रहा है और उसके नतीजे भी भुगत रहा है. सुनामी, cyclone जिन्होंने 2060 के बाद पूर्वी और पश्चिमी तटों पर तबाही मचाई, देश के उत्तरी और उत्तर पूर्वी पहाड़ी  इलाके जहां  लैंड स्लाइड  और भूकम्पों ने  ज़मीन का नक्शा बदल डाला। किसी वक़्त में एक अरब से ज्यादा आबादी वाला देश अब चालीस करोड़ वाला देश रह गया है. )

एक था ज़ुबिन 

"हम पूरी कोशिश कर रहे हैं कि देश के सभी गरीब और साधन विहीन लोगों को सस्ते और टिकाऊ घर उपलब्ध कराए जाएँ। ये हमारा मुख्य चुनावी मुद्दा है और जीतने के बाद हम इस पर अमल करेंगे।" देश के वर्तमान  प्रधानमन्त्री आने वाले चुनावों के लिए अपना चुनावी मेनिफेस्टो टेलीविज़न के ज़रिये लोगों तक पहुँचाना चाहते हैं. 

"लेकिन इस समस्या के टेक्निकल पहलू पर आप क्या कहेंगे? अभी तक कोई फूल प्रूफ टेक्नोलॉजी डेवेलप  नहीं हो सकी है जो हर तरह के ज्योग्राफिकल कंडीशंस और Rock  Formations के साथ काम कर सके और कम लागत पर टिकाऊ घर बना सके." टीवी एंकर नेताजी को आसानी से छोड़ने के मूड में नहीं है.

"देखिये, इस वक़्त ये समस्या अकेले हमारे देश की नहीं समूची दुनिया की है और मुझे विश्वास है कि  इस ग्लोबल समस्या का समाधान भी साइंटिस्ट ढूंढ निकालेंगे। पिछले हफ्ते  जर्मनी में UNO की विशेष कांफ्रेंस में हमने इसी मुद्दे को उठाया था  और उसमे घर बनाने के  कुछ नए मॉडल के सुझाव सामने आये हैं; सारी दुनिया के साइंटिस्ट इस पर काम कर रहे हैं, थोड़ा धैर्य रखिये, हम इस समस्या को जल्दी सुलझा लेंगे। बहुत जल्दी हम एक फ्लैगशिप वेलफेयर प्रोग्राम भी  शुरू करेंगे जिसमे ज़रूरतमंदों को घर उपलब्ध करवाना ही एकमात्र लक्ष्य होगा।" 

"पिछले साल अपने सीमित संसाधनो के बावजूद हमने दस लाख घर बनाये थे, ज्यादातर शहरों में  स्कूल, अस्पताल और सरकारी दफ्तरों को "शिफ्ट" किया जा चुका  है  और इस बार जीतने के बाद हम कोशिश करेंगे कि …"

"एक मिनट सर, आज हमें ज़रूरत है लगभग चालीस करोड़ घरों की. और उन दस लाख घरों में से कई तो "उन लोगों" को भी अलॉट हो गए जो खुद घर खरीद सकने की क्षमता रखते हैं. और फिर उन खदानों के बारे में क्या आपने कोई योज़ना बनाई है, कोई renovation स्कीम या उन्हें खाली करवा के बंद कर दिया जाएगा।"  

"देखिये पूरी तरह खाली तो नहीं करवा सकते, ऐसे तो समस्या और ज्यादा  बढ़ जायेगी। जब तक हम उन्हें कोई दूसरा ऑप्शन नहीं दे सकते तब तक हम उनसे … और फिर आरोप लगाना और कमियां निकालना  बड़ा आसान काम है लेकिन पिछले एक दशक से हालात जिस तरह बिगड़े हैं उनमे काम कर पाना उतना ही मुश्किल भी है. इस वक़्त हम अपने अस्तित्व को बनाये रखने के लिए लड़ रहे हैं".  नेताजी भी पूरी तरह से तैयारी करके आये थे. 

ज़ुबिन ने palmtop  पर चैनल वेबसाइट बदल दी, अबकी बार एक रिपोर्टर वर्चुअल स्क्रीन पर उभरी और उसके पीछे  UN महासचिव हाथ हिलाते  खड़े नज़र आये । रिपोर्टर ने  बोलना शुरू किया, " UNO के  मिलेनियम डेवेलपमेंट गोल्स में सबसे ज्यादा  महत्त्व दुनिया के सभी गरीबों को अगले पांच साल के भीतर घर उपलब्ध करवाने को दिया गया है. उसके बाद  Sun रेडिएशन से होने वाली बीमारियों के इलाज के लिए फण्ड उपलब्ध करवाने को  प्राथमिकता दी गई है. UN महासचिव खुद फण्ड raising के लिए अगले हफ्ते से पूरी दुनिया का दौरा करेंगे।" 

ज़ुबिन ने अपने palmtop  को स्विच ऑफ कर दिया। "एक तरफ तो ये गैजेट्स इतने सस्ते आते हैं वहीँ दूसरी तरफ एक सुरक्षित घर खरीदना बेहद मुश्किल हो गया है आम जनता के लिए. क्या करें इन एडवांस टेक्नोलॉजी वाले खिलौनों का, अगर  सिर पे एक सुरक्षित छत नहीं है?" 

"ज़ुबिन देख आज क्या चीज़ मिली है."  माधव के हाथ में एक बड़ा बॉक्स है; माधव ज़ुबिन का भाई है. 

"ये वर्चुअल होम थिएटर कहाँ से ले आया, फिर से उन्ही मल्टी स्टोरी अपार्टमेंटस की तरफ तो नहीं गया था ?" 

"हाँ वहाँ से ही मिला है, मैंने बाकी लड़कों को  पता नहीं लगने दिया, देख इसके साथ कुछ पुरानी फिल्मो की डीवीडी भी मिली है."

माधव इस नए ज़माने का कबाड़ी वाला है जो ज़मीन के ऊपर  खाली पड़ी उन  इमारतों , घरों  की ख़ाक छानते  फिरते हैं कि  वहाँ उन्हें कुछ कुछ ऐसा सामान या चीज़ें  मिल जाएँ  जिनको बेच के पैसा कमाया जा सके. अक्सर इसके लिए हाई रेडिशन जोन में  जाना पड़ता है जहां पर एक वक़्त में पॉश  colonies और मल्टीस्टोरी  अपार्टमेंट्स थे.  लोग अपना बहुत सा सामान यूँही छोड़ गए क्योंकि ज़मीन के नीचे वाले घरों में उनको रखने की जगह नहीं थी. 

"वहाँ कितना रिस्क है, रेडिएशन  लेवल  एक्सट्रीम पर है और फिर तेज़ गर्मी और रेडिएशन के कारण  जानवर भी आजकल खूंख्वार हो गए हैं. क्यों ये काम करता है?"

"यहां भी तो मर ही रहे हैं, इस काम से पैसा तो फटाफट मिलता है, तेरी रीसाइक्लिंग प्लांट वाली नौकरी से सिर्फ माँ के स्किन कैंसर के इलाज का खर्च ही पूरा नहीं होता  और फिर कब तक यहां खान में पड़े रहेंगे, सरकार जाने कब घर देगी? देगी भी या नहीं ? इसलिए खुद ही घर खरीदने का इंतज़ाम करना होगा ना".  

स्किन कैंसर इस नयी शताब्दी की सबसे सामान्य बीमारी बन गई है. जब तक लोग समझते सावधान होते तब तक … 

सदी के अंतिम दशकों में स्थिति कुछ ऐसी हुई कि  धरती का तापमान  UN  रिपोर्ट्स के प्रेडिक्शन्स से भी कहीं आगे चला गया और अब धरती के ऊपर, आसमान के नीचे पत्थर, ईंट और लकड़ी के बने घरों में रहना लगभग असंभव हो चला था. ओज़ोन लेयर अब बहुत थोड़ी ही  बची है और UVB Rays अपना असर पूरी भयंकरता से दिखा रही है.  लगभग पूरा साल धरती  गर्मी से झुलसती रहती  हैं.

 तेज़ गर्मियां और सुनामी  जिन्होंने लोगों को मजबूर कर दिया कि  वे अपने लिए नया घर तलाशें। और तब शुरू हुआ एक नए किस्म का बिज़नेस।

ज़मीन के नीचे घर बनाने, ज़मीन के नीचे ज़मीन खरीदने, टाउनशिप बनाने, कॉलोनी बनाने का धंधा। कभी किसी ने सोचा भी ना होगा की एक दिन ज़मीन के नीचे की ज़मीन सोने के भाव बिकेगी और ज़मीन के ऊपर कोई एक पैसा भी देने को तैयार ना होगा। ज़ुबिन, माधव और उनकी  माँ भी उनमे से एक है जिनके पास जाने के लिए, रहने के लिए कोई जगह नहीं थी तो वे लोग यहां आ गए.

यहां यानी .... "ए ज़ुबिन,  जल्दी आ, खान का एक हिस्सा फिर से गिर गया रे." माधव पूरी ताकत से चिल्लाया और फिर ज़ुबिन, माधव  और कई सारे लोग उस हिस्से की तरफ भागे जहां खान की छत गिर गई थी अब वहाँ मिटटी पत्थर का ढेर पड़ा था, चीखें थी, आवाज़ें थी, कुछ लोग अंदर दबे थे.

ये खदानें अब ज़ुबिन जैसे बहुत से लोगों का घर हैं, ये ज्यादातर पत्थर की खानें हैं जो अब लगभग खाली हो गई है और इनमे काम बंद हुए काफी साल हो गए हैं. लोगों ने इन्हे ही घर मान के रहना शुरू कर दिया। कुछ लोगों ने अंडरग्राउंड रेलवे स्टेशन्स को चुना तो कुछ अंडर ग्राउंड रोड टनल्स में रहने आ गए  यानी कुछ भी ऐसा जो ज़मीन के नीचे हो और जहां का  तापमान रहने लायक हो. 

"रेस्क्यू टीम को मैसेज कर दिया है पर लगता नहीं कि  वे जल्दी पहुँच सकेंगे।" 

"क्यों?'

"अंडरग्राउंड मेट्रो बस वाली कॉलोनी में कुछ पुराने सामान के कारण ब्लास्ट हुए हैं  और अभी तीन रेस्क्यू टीम वहीँ है. ये न्यूज़ सुबह से लोकल नेटवर्क पर फ़्लैश हो रही है." 

खान में रहने वालों ने दबे हुए लोगों को निकालने का काम शुरू किया और कुछ घंटे के बाद मलबा हटा और उसमे से निकली तीन डेड बॉडी जिनके सिर  पत्थरों से कुचल गए थे.  

"क्या रे  अपना भी ऐसा ही हाल होगा ?"  ज़ुबिन पूछ रहा है या भविष्य को देख रहा है, माधव को समझ नहीं आता.

"दुनिया में कितने देश होंगे?"  ज़ुबिन को फिर से UN महासचिव याद आने लगे हैं. 

"ये पूछो कि  दुनिया में इंसान कितने बचे हैं, देश तो अब हैं कहाँ?"  रोमिला ने उल्टा सवाल पूछा। वो भी  माधव के साथ  "कबाड़" ढूंढने का काम करती है.

 "जब कॉलेज में एडमिशन के लिए एग्जाम दिया था तब पढ़ा था कि लगभग 200 देश थे पिछली शताब्दी में जो अब कम  होकर 150 या उस से भी कम  हैं शायद।  सारे आइलैंड देश जैसे जापान, कोरिया, ऑस्ट्रेलिया के कोस्टल एरिया, फ़िजी और अपना ये मालदीव; सब पानी में डूब गए. आर्कटिक और अंटार्कटिका की बर्फ पिघल गई."  ज़ुबिन ने सिर  खुजाया।

"अफ्रीका भी तो लगभग खाली हो गया है ना? सुना है अब सिर्फ वहाँ रेगिस्तान है और जंगली जानवर।"  रोमिला ने  थोड़े डरी  हुई आवाज़ में कहा. 

" तुमको अफ्रीका की पड़ी है और यहां … "

"वो बेघर लोगों को घर देने की स्कीम थी ना, उसका क्या हुआ, कब मिलेंगे घर ?" रोमिला को एक घर चाहिए, ठंडा, शांत और सुरक्षित घर.

" न्यूज़ में देखा था कि कई लोगों को मिले हैं घर, पता नहीं अपने एरिया का नंबर कब आएगा". माधव को सरकारी घर मिलने का ज्यादा भरोसा नहीं है. 

"अरे चल, तेरे होम थिएटर पर पुरानी फिल्में देखते हैं." ज़ुबिन ने टॉपिक बदला।

कुछ घंटे बाद 

"यार ये पिछली शताब्दियों के लोग बड़े बेवकूफ थे ना, आने वाले वक़्त को  "स्टारवार्स triology"  और "हंगर गेम्स triology"  जैसी फिल्मों के नज़रिये से देख रहे थे ?" ज़ुबिन बोला।

"बेवकूफ नहीं थे, cruel थे; अगर उन्हें सचमुच भविष्य की, हमारी फ़िक्र होती तो आज हम इस हाल में नहीं होते।"  रोमिला ने कड़वी आवाज़ में कहा. रोमिला के  परिवार में अब कोई  नहीं है, पता नहीं कहाँ से कैसे यहां  तक आई. अब  वो अकेली है, उसे भी हर महीने अपने इलाज के लिए कई दवाइयों और थेरेपी से गुज़रना पड़ता है. उसके शरीर में विटामिन डी  बहुत ज्यादा हो गया है जो एक्सट्रीम रेडिएशन के लगातार कांटेक्ट  में होने से होता है.

कुछ हफ्ते बाद 

"सर इतनी जल्दी ज़मीन के नीचे बिजली, पानी, sewage, ड्रेनेज के नेटवर्क बिछाना लगभग नामुमकिन है, इस काम में कम से कम दो साल लगेंगे, कई जगह इंटरनेट और टेलीफोन केबल्स बीच में आ रही हैं.  ज्यादा वक़्त भी लग सकता है."

" वक़्त हमारे पास नहीं है सेक्रेटरी साहब, उन लोगों के पास भी वक़्त नहीं है जो या तो खदानों में या ज़मीन के ऊपर मकानों में रहते हैं. अंडरग्राउंड टनल्स में दिन पर दिन भीड़ बढ़ रही है. जैसे भी हो जल्दी से जल्दी घर बनाइये।"

"सर, जल्दी काम करने के लिए फंड्स भी तो चाहिए और इकॉनमी की हालत .... सारी  दुनिया का यही हाल है, UNO किस किस को पैसा देगा।"

लगभग दो  साल बाद 

"क्या ये प्रोजेक्ट सरकार अपने हाथ में नहीं ले सकती थी? लोगों की ज़िन्दगियों से जुड़ा ये प्रोजेक्ट अगर ठेके पे दिया भी गया तो क्वालिटी कंट्रोल मैनेजमेंट, सेफ्टी स्टैंडर्ड्स पर ध्यान क्यों नहीं दिया गया? जब कंपनी के बनाये सैंपल घर और पूरी कॉलोनी के घरों की क्वालिटी और स्टैण्डर्ड में अंतर था तो फिर उसी वक़्त  कोई एक्शन क्यों नहीं लिया गया?  क्या इतनी सब तबाही देखने के बाद भी हम लापरवाह बने रहेंगे ?"

लोकसभा में विपक्षी दाल के नेता गरजते हुए बोले।

उनके चिल्लाने का कारण था वो हाउसिंग प्रोजेक्ट जिसमे ज़मीन के नीचे घर बनाने का ठेका एक बड़े कॉर्पोरेट  फर्म को दिया गया था और वादे के मुताबिक़ उसने सस्ती कीमत पर जल्दी घर बनाये भी. पर इस जल्दबाजी में किसी ने ये ध्यान नहीं दिया कि  सुरक्षा मानकों का पालन हुआ या नहीं और इन सबसे ऊपर क्या ये घर मज़बूत और रहने लायक हैं भी या नहीं। नतीजा , जब लोग वहाँ रहने आये तो उनमे प्रॉपर ऑक्सीजन सप्लाई, एनर्जी सप्लाई, बेसिक एमेनिटीज जैसे पानी, ड्रेनेज वगैरह का हाल काफी बुरा था.  और अभी पिछले हफ्ते उनमे से कई घर  ढह गए क्योंकि  उन्हें बनाने में इस्तेमाल हुआ मटेरियल घटिया था. 

सात साल बाद 

"इस बार की Red  Data  List  हमारी धरती के अब तक के सबसे खराब दौर को दिखा रही है.  इस बार लिस्ट में सबसे संकटग्रस्त प्रजाति के रूप में खुद "पृथ्वी ग्रह " को रखा गया है. उसके बाद दूसरा  स्थान मानव प्रजाति को दिया गया है."  वर्चुअल स्क्रीन पर न्यूज़ आ रही थी और ज़ुबिन, रोमिला के साथ अस्पताल में है, उसे रोमिला और माधव दोनों की देखभाल करनी होती है.

Incredible Universe

Prologue

( The UNO and a few other Nations are working on a secret project called "The Universe",  a project that will explore the various dimensions of our Universe; believing that there are many other parallel worlds and people living across the different time, space and dimensions. A small yet a special team of two people, one man and a woman;a soldier and a scientist respectively, has been formed to take this project further. At the initial level, a four-week pilot project is about to launch.) 

 "Your bag contains everything that you would be needing in your journey. Now come with me, our team has designed a special thing for both of you." The Project head Mr. Andrew Smithson took them to the laboratory. Curiosity and Anxiousness was in the atmosphere.

"Here it is, open it." Mr. Andrew gave them two boxes.

"This is a phone, a mobile phone.!!!" She, Rosemina exclaimed.

"Not just any ordinary phone. first of all it is ASUS ZEN Phone 6 with the Intel Atom Multi-Core processor with hyper threading technology. It has PixelMaster technology, Gorila Glass damage resistance, SonicMaster technology along with Incredible Touch Responsive features that enables the user to use the phone even with gloves as well as.'

"So How it is useful in our mission ?"  Daniel was confused.

"Well, we have made some modifications in the phone and created some apps to make your journey easy. Let me introduce you with them." Mr. Andrews winked at them while taking the phone form Daniel's hand. 

"See, first of all, you must need to know that these are not just normal phones but SUPER PHONES. yes, Phone with Super Powers. These powers are both scientific and para-human as well as and to manage all those powers in one small devise we needed a powerful core processor like INTEL. This Phone is your lifeline in those unknown worlds". with these words, he made a geometrical pattern on touch screen and the screen got unlocked. 

"This phone is designed to find and locate the Dimension Portals that exist between the worlds and interlinks them. The SonicMaster technique was modified for this purpose to identify the hyper-ultra- sonic sound waves created by those portals. The 13MP PixelMaster camera is not just for  shooting HD videos and capturing high resolution bright photographs, but it can also recognize the difference between an enemy and a friend. Just focus the camera on that person and press this small hash tag button, you will see either red or blue aura around the person; red is for enemies and blue indicates towards friendly people." Mr. Andrews explained while displaying different app icons.

"This camera can also create temporary illusions on the surface by projecting different scenarios streamed via cloud space; e.g. scene of a garden in the middle of a desert, snow fall, sea shores, cozy homes, etc. This feature can buy you enough time to escape from a trouble or to divert your enemy's mind. There is one more sensitive feature we have added with camera, but you need to use it carefully, the Brain Cam App can read the brain waves of any living being and will provide you an image of thoughts/emotions." 

"Here are some another important features we have added to this phone but to access those apps and features which will stay as hidden buttons in normal situation, you need to unlock the screen with this specific code." he spoke while making another geometrical pattern on the screen. 

"Press this red button and a laser beam will emerge to destroy the enemy; press it twice and the laser beam will convert into a sharp laser saber to kill the enemies which are nearer to you. The phone can also teleport you to a desired location; use this app named teleport and type the name of that location and press the set of three buttons that will appear on the screen and you will reach there in few seconds." 

"What if we both get caught in a big trouble and can't escape ?" Rosemina asked.

"In that case, I am sorry to say, most of the time you are at your own, but we can still send you help if the phone is in your hand then just give us a call or text us, our numbers are stored in the phone book. YESSS, This incredible Phone can communicate between the Worlds, no matter wherever you are, in whichever dimension; don't forget to call us at every 3 hours and update us with your progress and all type of developments. After all, the primary facility of a phone is to make calls and to receive calls so how our Zen Phone 6 would be deprived of it." Mr. Andrews gave them a broad smile. 

"what help we will get?"

"A rescue team will be sent to bring you back to home. We will identify your location with the help of this Master Sonic Sound computer." 

"And what about the battery of phone.. where is the charger?" Daniel was still doubtful.

"Sun is your charger, these phones are solar powered so they get charge automatically as far as they are under sunlight. And Sun is everywhere". Andrews has the answer for every question.

"And don't forget the first and foremost aim of our mission, we want to explore those dimensions, we have to make friends and alleys in different worlds so when in future after few centuries, the Earth will not be  habitable anymore, we could shift our people to those worlds. 

After few hours, they were ready to start the Journey To The Different Worlds. A dimension portal was already found by the project team, it was located at an isolated island of South Pacific Ocean. 

 First WEEK

They found themselves in the middle of a jungle.

"Which place is this.. looking very much like Earth." Rosemina said.

"Who are you? Never saw you before." A voice came. Rosemina and Daniel looked around but couldn't find anyone.

"I am asking to you.. who are you?" this time the voice was quite loud. They both got alert and held the phone tightly. Suddenly, Daniel felt a tap on his shoulder, it was a tree branch.

"it's me behind you.. who are you.. what are you looking for..?"

So it was a tree...a Talking Tree!!!!!!!!

In next couple of days, they were told a lot things about that strange land and all those information was given by the unique creatures (half human half animal) of that land which they called "Eartha" the Parallel Earth. 

"This place reminds me about Narnia series films..the camera app is showing only blue aura around every living being. Just like the movie, these creatures has developed such an amazing civilization here, If I would have not seen all this with my own eyes, I would have never believed it. " Rosemina was mesmerized by the this marvel of nature.

"I agree, I don't think that we humans should disturb the balance and peace of their lives. Let's go to another dimension." Daniel switched on the portal search app and soon they found one.

They reached to a desolated place... they roamed around the region for next few days and found the ruins of an unknown civilization; dilapidated building structures, dead corpses, rusted and broken machines and no signs of living beings anywhere. It seemed like a catastrophe was occurred to this place.

Second Week

Rosemina and Daniel traveled to various dimensions; a land of barbarian humans, living in stone age.. A perfect place for the future habitation of Earth People.... then to a land of Gods, yes GODS, they too live in some dimension, call it heaven or something else. However, those were actually human gods who left the Earth in ancient times after acquiring super human power through various spiritual practices, they created a heavenly abode for themselves and ordinary humans were not allowed to that place. Rosemina took the images of their brains through Brain Cam app and streamed it to the Earth headquarter. After that they went to a dimension of shadows.. yes the shadows of past times, shadows of the events that took place on earth and now there reflection was trapped in a parallel time and space.

Third and Forth Week

In these two weeks they used every single super power of their Zenphones. From using laser beams/saber to kill the hostile giant creatures, to creating photographic illusion from escaping the furious aliens. The Zenphone did not disappoint them. The teleportation app helped them to cover the distance of surface and time gap between the dimensions. The tracker app in Zenphone was keeping a record all their activities and was streaming it to the headquarter. They explored  the most beautiful worlds in the universe and also saw the most horrible places as well as. 

Finally, it was time to go back home.

Epilogue

( The experiment was a big success, it opened the doors of unknown worlds for humans and UNO decided to continue the project for constant monitoring of those newly discovered terrains. Of course, Rosemina and Daniel both were now the national hero/heroine.)

सड़क पर गाड़ियां  भाग रही  हैं, रुकने का थमने का वक़्त नहीं है अभी; ये सुबह के 9 - 10 के बीच का वक़्त है, सबको जल्दी है; कहीं  ना कहीं    पहुंचना है.  मुझे भी तो पहुंचना है, सड़क के उस पार;  कब  से कोशिश कर रहा हूँ, बार बार दो कदम आगे बढ़ाता हूँ  फिर जल्दी से पीछे हटता  हूँ … इतनी रफ़्तार से भागती  हैं ये चार पैर और दो पैर वाली गाड़ियां कि सड़क के किनारे वाली मिटटी से आगे पैर रखने का मौका ही नहीं मिलता मुझे।  वैसे मैं इतना छोटा सा हूँ कि शायद किसी को नज़र भी नहीं आता और जिनको नज़र आता हूँ वो इतना ज़ोर का हॉर्न बजाते हैं मुझे देख कर कि  मैं डर ही जाता हूँ । 

कैसे जाऊं सड़क के उस तरफ …??

दृश्य  2 

"क्या बढ़िया मौसम है आज, इतनी अच्छी हवा चल रही है कि AC चलाने  की ज़रूरत ही नहीं कार में. "   खुद से ही बातें कर रही हूँ मैं, गाडी आराम से 40 - 45 की स्पीड पर भाग रही है और एफ एम पर मेलोडियस गाने चल रहे हैं. रियर मिरर में देखती हूँ, सिर्फ एक या दो bikers हैं  और   आगे सड़क लगभग खाली है.  अचानक ब्रेक लगाना पड़ता है, एक कुत्ता  एकदम से गाडी के सामने आ गया था. पीछे आ रहे बाइकर ने भी उतनी ही फुर्ती से ब्रेक लगाया और फिर मुझे घूरता हुआ पास से निकल गया. मैं अभी भी उस अचानक वाले क्षण से बाहर नहीं आ पाई  हूँ और गाडी रोक  कर खड़ी रही.

दृश्य 3 

" शाम हो चुकी है और अब थोड़ी देर में अँधेरा भी हो जाएगा,  पर गर्मी कम  नहीं हो रही. बहुत प्यास लग रही है पर कहाँ पियूं पानी। " तभी देखता हूँ एक घर का गेट खुल रहा है, एक मोटी औरत  अंदर जा रही है, एक कोई बुजुर्ग भी साथ है.  मैं उनके  पीछे जाता हूँ, मेरी बेचारी सी शक्ल और हड्डियों  के ढाँचे जैसे शरीर पर उसे तरस आएगा ही, ऐसी उम्मीद है. 

"हट हट, जा, शूुुु"  

मैं कहीं नहीं जाता बस  उसके पीछे  पीछे घर के गेट पर जाकर  खड़ा हो जाता हूँ.

"अरे पिंकू, एक रोटी देना, ये तो  जा ही नहीं रहा."     

 रोटी ??? अरे मुझे रोटी नहीं चाहिए, मुझे प्यास लगी है., पर कोई सुनता  ही  नहीं 

बुजुर्ग रोटी के साथ ब्रेड का भी एक टुकड़ा ले आते हैं, मैं फर्श पर रखे ब्रेड और रोटी को सूंघता हूँ फिर  छोड़ देता हूँ .  मैं अब भी  उन्हें अपनी काली  आँखों से  देख  रहा  हूँ, गले की प्यास जैसे आँखों में समा गई है,  मैं गर्दन  हिलाता हूँ. याचना, उम्मीद, अपनी बात ना समझा सकने की मजबूरी और प्यास  सब   कुछ एक साथ अपनी आँखों से ही कह देना चाहता हूँ. पर वे नहीं  समझे।  कुछ देर खड़े रह कर बुजुर्ग भीतर लौट गए और दरवाजा भी बंद कर दिया। मैं अब गेट बैठ गया हूँ,   कहीं जाने या पानी तलाशने की अभी मुझमे शक्ति नहीं है.  गेट बंद है.  बाहर सड़क  पर कहीं बहते पानी या ठहरे पानी का कोई आसरा भी नहीं।

दृश्य 4    

   आज दो दिन  से  आसमान से लगातार पानी गिर रहा है, सड़कें, गलियाँ, कोने, किनारे सब जगह पानी भरा है. कहीं भी सूखी ज़मीन नहीं है,  ठण्ड भी लगने लगी है पर कहीं साफ़ बैठने की जगह नहीं।  जो खाना वे लोग यहां चबूतरे पर डाल गए थे वो भी पानी में बह  गया और सब छोटे जीव कहीं गहरे बिलों में छिपे हैं. पर मैं तो बिल में नहीं रह  सकता ना.   

दृश्य 5 

आज उन लोगों ने मुझ पर पत्थर फेंके क्योंकि  मैं चिल्ला रहा था; मैंने  छोटा चूहा पकड़ा था, वो सांड मुझे सींग मारने की कोशिश कर रहा था ना इसलिए। बहुत ज़ोर से लग गई है, बहुत दर्द हो  रहा है.  

  

 मैंने तीन दिन से कुछ भी नहीं खाया है, पर  बहुत नींद आ रही है, कहीं जाने की ताकत भी नहीं है. 

 अगले दिन सुबह 

ये मेरे चारों तरफ क्या  बिखरा पड़ा है ?  ये तो मेरा ही कोई साथी है शायद  .... खैर ऐसा तो अक्सर होता है सड़कों पर, कौन देखता  है. अभी  कोई  बड़ी गाडी गाडी आएगी  और इसे ले जायेगी ; पता नहीं कहाँ ले जाते हैं  .... … 

मुझे अब भूख नहीं लग रही, दर्द भी नहीं हो रहा, ठण्ड भी नहीं  लग रही, बहुत गहरी नींद सोया मैं, अब चलूँ। अरे मैं खड़ा क्यों नहीं हो पा  रहा … ये सब लोग मुझे बेलचे से कहाँ धकेल रहे हैं … ओह, हाँ कल रात .... 

क्या पूछा आपने, मैं कौन हूँ ?? मैं कुतु हूँ, यहीं रहता हूँ. 

 

खाना स्वादिष्ट ही नहीं खूबसूरत भी होता है

 अक्सर ऐसा होता है कि  खाना बनाने से ज्यादा उसे खाना एक बड़ी मुसीबत लगती है … कारण सिर्फ इतना कि  रोज़मर्रा का भोजन तो सिर्फ रूटीन का खाना बन जाता है, उसमे ना स्वाद का अहसास होता है और ना किसी किस्म  के नयेपन का … लगता है कि  जैसे बस पेट भरना है और एक काम है जो पूरा करना है, इसलिए जो बना है बस खा लो.  एक मुसीबत ये भी है कि  जब कभी बड़ी ज़ोर की भूख लगी होती है तब घर में  कुछ ऐसा स्वादिष्ट खाने को नहीं होता जिससे "पेट भर भी जाए और बहल भी जाए".  हाँ, मेरा मतलब ये है कि खाना ऐसा हो जिससे भूख भी मिट जाए, जिसे देखते ही खाने का मन करे और जो मनपसंद भी हो. अब ये सब चीज़ें एकसाथ कैसे मिलें ? बहरहाल, कभी कभी ऐसा चमत्कार भी हो जाता है. एक सीधे सादे गर्मी के दिन की दोपहर, जब मैं कॉलेज से बंक मार कर घर भाग आई तब रास्ते में चाट खा लेने के कारण भूख ज्यादा नहीं थी. 

लेकिन जब घर पहुंची तो मम्मी का फरमान था कि  "गर्मी में भूखे पेट नहीं  रहना चाहिए (अब उनको तेज़ गर्मी में चाट खाने के लॉजिक  के बारे में नहीं बता सकते ) इसलिए चुपचाप डाइनिंग टेबल पर आ जाओ."  हाथ मुंह धोकर,  ड्रेस चेंज करके  हम आकर डाइनिंग टेबल पर बिराजमान हो गए. (लो भाई आ गए,  परोस दो जो भी आलू भालू कचालू बना है )

टेबल का नज़ारा गज़ब था, कांच के चमकीले, फ्लॉलेस, पारदर्शी, गोल  कैसरोल में आलू भिन्डी की सूखी सब्ज़ी जगमगा रही हैं, उन के बीच में लाल खट्टे मीठे टमाटर के नर्म हलके भुने हुए टुकड़े यहां वहाँ रंगत बिखेर रहे हैं. छोटे छोटे टुकड़ों में कटी भिन्डी का हरा रंग जो कड़ाही में पकने के कारण  गहरा हरा हो गया है उस पर लिपटी पिसे मसाले की परत, सूखे पुदीने, हींग, जीरे और सौंफ की खुशबू  जो देसी घी में छौंके होने के कारण नाक से होती हुई दिल और दिमाग के सोये हुए तार फिर से जगाने लगी. मैंने चखने के लिए अपना हाथ कैसरोल की तरफ बढ़ाया और भिन्डी टमाटर को उँगलियों से उठाने ही वाली थी कि  मम्मी ने किचन की छोटी विंडो से आवाज़ दी, "रीनू, पूरा जूठा मत कर, चम्मच से ले."  और उंगलियां वहीँ रुक  गई.  

मैं आराम से कुर्सी पर बैठ गई और एक प्लेट उठाई, ध्यान गया कि  ये तो रोज़ वाली डिनर सेट की प्लेट नहीं है; ये तो नई  है, प्लेट का शेप भी थोड़ा रेक्टैंगल सा है.  और तब मैंने पहली बार टेबल पर चारों तरफ गौर से देखा, डिनर सेट की प्लेटों, कटोरियों, सर्विंग बाउल, सर्विंग स्पून, राइस ट्रे; इन सब पर इंडिगो ब्लू कलर के जरबेरा जैसे फूल, सफ़ेद बैकग्राउंड पर खिल रहे थे. हर चीज़ में नफासत झलक रही थी  इस चिपचिपी गर्मी में ऐसे ताज़े रंग खाने की मेज़ पर देख कर मजा आ गया, जैसे नीले फूल बिछे हो टेबल पर.  और उन फूलों के बीच में रखे गोल, चौकोर आकार के झिलमिलाते कांच के बाउल। भिन्डी और फूलों से ध्यान हटा तो अब एक बाउल में बूंदी महारानी अपने दही के सागर में हिलोरे ले रही थी, उनका साथ देने के लिए हरा धनिया, लाल मिर्च, हरी मिर्च की कतरन, लाल रसीले अनार दाने और चाट मसाला भी अपने अपनी रंगीनियाँ छलका रहे थे. मन हुआ कि अभी चख लो लेकिन फिर याद आया "पूरा जूठा नहीं करना" . 

अभी और कुछ देखती कि  इसके पहले मम्मी ने गरमागरम चपाती  लाकर प्लेट में रख दी, घर के बने ताज़े घी की खुशबू हवा में तैर गई.  (अब और कंट्रोल नहीं हो सकता ), मैंने फटाफट प्लेट में आलू भिन्डी डाले और एक कटोरी में बूंदी रायता लिया। तभी मम्मी ने एक सर्विंग डिश का ढक्कन खोला और उसे मेरी तरफ सरकाया। 

"अरबी की सब्ज़ी!!!!!!!!. 

सर्विंग डिश की नीले फूलों और सफ़ेद दीवारों के बीच प्याज लहसुन धनिये की चटनी वाली गाढ़ी मसाला ग्रेवी में छिले हुए आलू के रंग वाली अरबी के लम्बे कटे  टुकड़े एक अलग ही  कलर कंट्रास्ट बना रहे थे.  मैंने जल्दी से खाना शुरू कर दिया। 

"कैसा लगा ये नया मैलामाइन सेट? ये बोरोसिल है, कितना सुन्दर है ना?"  मम्मी पूछ रही थी और मेरा ध्यान खाने की तरफ था. 

"उम्म्म, हाँ अच्छा है, अब से रोज़ इसी को इस्तेमाल करेंगे।" 

"मैं लेकर आया हूँ, मम्मी के लिए गिफ्ट है."  मेरा भाई रोहित लॉबी के दरवाजे से अंदर आ चुका था और  बड़े अंदाज़ से उसने ये घोषणा की। (ये गिफ्ट का क्या चक्कर है ). 

पर अभी गिफ्ट के बारे में सोचने  का टाइम नहीं था क्योंकि मेरी आँखें अब कांच की एक खूबसूरत सर्विंग प्लेट पर थी, जिसमे रखे  बेसन के सुनहरे कुरकुरे पकोड़े मुझे बुला रहे थे; उनकी खुशबू  और रंगत मुंह में पानी ला  रही थी. पहला पतला सा पकोड़ा टिंडे की पतली स्लाइस वाला था, दूसरा जो हाथ आया वो थोड़ा बड़ा था, उसमे टमाटर का स्लाइस निकला और उसके बाद वाले में प्याज के छल्लों का स्लाइस था.

"वाह, आई लव पकोड़ा " 

"अब तूने बहुत पकोड़े खा लिए, मोटी  हो जायेगी  तो तेरी शादी कैसे होगी।" भैया ने पकोड़े की पूरी प्लेट उठाई और अपनी तरफ रख ली.

"हाँ,  तू तो जैसे मोटा नहीं होगा ना पकोड़े खाकर।" मैंने प्लेट खींची।

"तुम दोनों बन्दर लड़ना बंद करो और कम  से कम खाते वक़्त तो हंगामा मत करो. रीनू, फ्रिज से आमरस वाला जग निकाल।" ( वाह, आमरस भी बनाया है, ये तो मेरा आल टाइम फेवरेट है ) 

फ्रिज खोला तो देखा एक शानदार चमचमाता नया कांच का जग बीच वाली ट्रे पर रखा है,  जग आधे से ज्यादा आमरस से भरा हुआ था और पहली बार मुझे  ऐसा महसूस हुआ कि  आमरस में मिठास होने के साथ साथ  रंग और चमक भी होती है. ऑरेंज कलर का गाढ़ा, क्रीमी सा आमरस कांच के जग में फ्रिज में चारों तरफ नारंगी  रंग की रोशनी  बिखेर रहा था. 

"ये जग भी नया है ना?" 

"हाँ, ये सारे कांच के कैसरोल, सर्विंग प्लेट, डिश वगैरह बोरोसिल के हैं और इनको डिनर सेट के साथ ही खरीदा है. डिनर सेट ऑनलाइन  आर्डर किया था." मम्मी ने बताया तो मैं हैरान हो गई. (ऑनलाइन आर्डर किया … !!!!!!!! कब !!!!!!!! मुझे किसी ने क्यों नहीं बताया )

"एक मिनट, ये डिनर सेट तो रोहित लाया है ना … गिफ्ट". 

"मैंने तो सिर्फ पेमेंट किया है, पसंद और आर्डर तो मम्मी ने ही किया". रोहित ने आमरस पीते हुए जवाब दिया।  (अच्छा बच्चू, बड़े चालाक बन रहे थे )    

"मुझे पहले ही पता था, ये सब तेरे काम नहीं हो सकते।" 

"ये ग्लास वेयर माइक्रोवेव में भी आसानी से इस्तेमाल हो सकते हैं.  लगातार इस्तेमाल के बावजूद इन पर हल्दी मसाले के दाग भी नहीं लगते और इनमे कोई खराब स्मेल भी नहीं होती।  दुसरे ग्लास वेयर की तुलना में इनकी चमक और क्लैरिटी भी हमेशा बनी रहती है." मम्मी इस वक़्त पूरा ज्ञान देने के मूड में थी, पर इतनी सब जानकारी मिली कहाँ से?? 

"आपको बोरोसिल के बारे में ये सब कैसे पता चला ?" 

"इंटरनेट क्या सिर्फ तुम ही लोग इस्तेमाल कर सकते हो, मैं नहीं ??" मम्मी ने अपनी मिलियन डॉलर विनिंग स्माइल के साथ जवाब  दिया और डाइनिंग टेबल से बर्तन समेटने लगी.  

मैंने चुपचाप वापिस आमरस पर कंसंट्रेट किया, यही सबसे बेस्ट ऑप्शन था; फिलहाल के लिए इतना काफी था कि  रोहित भैया की गिफ्ट स्किल को कोई क्रेडिट नहीं मिला।

कार का कनेक्शन

CarConnect.in, ये नाम मैंने इंडीब्लॉगर पर देखा और सोचा कि  क्यों ना इस कांटेस्ट में पार्टिसिपेट किया जाए, आखिरकार अब मुझे भी कार ड्राइविंग का और स्पीड का चस्का लग चुका है. जब बात हो रोडट्रिप्स की, फैमिली के स्टेटस की और कम्फर्ट की,  तब कार के बारे में ना सोचा जाए ये हो नहीं सकता। पर फिर एक झिझक सी हुई कि  हिंदी में कांटेस्ट एंट्री ?? कोई पढ़ेगा भी ?? या इस पर किसी का ध्यान ही नहीं जाएगा ?? लेकिन फिर सोचा कि कार खरीदने और चलाने वाले लोग क्या  हिंदी नहीं बोलते या समझते और फिर कार तो हमेशा से हिंदुस्तानी लोगों के लिए एक ख़ास आकर्षण रही है फिर चाहे वो पुराने वक़्त की अम्बेस्डर हो या 80 और 90 के दशक की "सड़को की रानी" मारुति या  आज के वक़्त की कोई भी लक्ज़री या स्पोर्ट्स कार.  तो ऐसे में मैंने तय किया कि  इस वेबसाइट का रिव्यु मैं हिंगलिश में लिखूंगी ताकि हर कोई मेरी बात आसानी से समझ सकें और इस वेबसाइट के बारे में  जान सके और वैसे भी हिंदी में किसी कार वेबसाइट का रिव्यु इंटरनेट पर होगा ऐसी संभावनाएं बहुत कम  ही हैं.  तो चलिए बात शुरू करते हैं CarConnect.in  के  बारे में. 

इस वेबसाइट पर जब पहली बार विजिट किया तो कुछ अनोखा सा लगा, पहले लगा कि  अरे ये इतना सिंपल सा होम पेज, ना कोई एड, ना यहां वहाँ से एकदम पॉप अप होते बॉक्स और ना कहीं कारों की तसवीरें। पहले लगा कि  ये क्या गड़बड़ झाला है. सिर्फ कुछ टैब्स, मैन मेनू बार में... पर फिर समझ आया यही तो है जो CarConnect.in को बाकी कार वेबसाइट से अलग  बनाती है.  CarConnect  जैसा कि  नाम से ही समझ आ जाता है कि ये वेबसाइट कार के बारे में हैं,  इसी  बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए इसे पूरी तरह यूजर फ्रेंडली इंटरफ़ेस के साथ बनाया गया है. लेकिन सिर्फ कार कह देने से बात पूरी नहीं होती, ये एक खास जगह है;  कार के साथ साथ कार ड्राइवर्स, कार लवर्स, लम्बी यात्राओं के शौकीन उन क्रेजी लोगों  के लिए,  जिनके लिए कार सिर्फ एक मशीन नहीं बल्कि ज़िन्दगी का एक हिस्सा है. " My Car, My Passion".  वो कनेक्शन, वो लगाव  जो हम अपनी कार के लिए महसूस करते हैं ( कुछ वक़्त पहले मैंने अपनी पुरानी कार बेच दी और उसकी जगह नई  कार खरीदी, वो पुरानी थी पर मैं उसे खटारा नहीं कह सकती; शायद इसीलिए उस कार को एक्सचेंज देने से पहले  मैंने आखिरी बार उसकी कुछ तसवीरें ली).

CarConnect.in मानव स्वभाव के sunny- social- side  को कितना महत्त्व देती है ये इस बात से पता चलता है कि वेबसाइट के मेनू बार में नौ में से छह टैब  सिर्फ सोशल इंटरैक्शन के लिए ही रखे गए हैं.  जैसे ही आप होम पेज पर आते हैं तब  दो चीज़ें आपका ध्यान खींचेंगी, "कार एक्सपीरियंस" और  "लॉन्ग ड्राइव",  नाम के दो लाल रंग के क्लाउड्स.  और तुरंत ही आपके अंदर  की जिज्ञासा जाग जाती है और तभी आपकी नज़र पड़ती है दायीं तरफ की साइड बार पर; जहां पर आपको कुछ ऑप्शन विंडोज दिखती है, मोस्ट पॉपुलर लॉन्ग ड्राइव एक्सपीरियंस, मोस्ट पॉपुलर कार एक्सपीरियंस और चैट रूम  वगैरह। पॉपुलर एक्सपेरिएन्सेस और उनसे जुड़े नाम और चेहरे।  आप तुरंत उनको पढ़ना चाहेंगे लेकिन रुकिए, यही तो ट्विस्ट  है CarConnect.in में. यहां आपको वेबसाइट का एक हिस्सा बनने के लिए अपनी फेसबुक प्रोफाइल के ज़रिये लोगिन करना होगा; एक प्रोफाइल क्रिएट करिये और बस शामिल हो जाइए कारकनेक्ट के क्रेजी कार पैशनेट लोगों की दुनिया में.

आप यहां किसी कार के बारे में यानी उसकी ड्राइविंग, रखरखाव वगैरह के बारे में अपने अनुभव शेयर कर सकते हैं या अपनी किसी रोडट्रिप के बारे में लिख सकते हैं. ये बिलकुल किसी पर्सनल ब्लॉग पर पोस्ट करने जैसा है, फर्क सिर्फ यही है कि  यहां वेबसाइट का खुद का ब्लॉग है जिसे यूजर/मेंबर्स  इस्तेमाल करते हैं और उसे  अपने अनुभवों से "एनरिच" करते हैं. मेरे ख्याल से ये एक बढ़िया आईडिया है कि एक प्रोफेशनल कार  वेबसाइट  लोगों  को अपनी कार से जुड़े अनुभव को दूसरों से शेयर  करने के लिए एक फोरम दे रही है. लगभग हर इंसान के पास अपनी कार से जुडी कुछ खास बातें होती है, फिर भले ही उस मॉडल और ब्रांड  की कार और बहुत से लोगों के पास हो लेकिन उस कार  को चलाने और उसके इस्तेमाल के बारे में सबके अनुभव अलग ही होते हैं. इस शेयरिंग का एक फायदा और भी है कि किसी भी कार के बारे में उसके मालिकों के निजी फर्स्ट हैंड अनुभव जानने को मिलते हैं.

लगभग यही चीज़ लॉन्ग ड्राइव एक्सपीरियंस के बारे में भी कही जा सकती है. आपको कार चलाने का शौक है तो बताइये दुनिया को कि  आप अपनी कार को कौनसे अनजाने, अनदेखे, पहाड़ो, रेगिस्तान, समुन्दर के किनारो या कच्चे रास्तों पर ले गए ? उन रास्तो, मंज़िलों और स्पीड  के रोमांच को शब्दों के ज़रिये सारी दुनिया को बताइये। CarConnect.in का लीडर बोर्ड ऐसे ही पैशनेट लोगों से आपको रूबरू करवाता है. और जैसा कि मैंने पहले ही बताया कि यहां  आपको फेसबुक प्रोफाइल के ज़रिये ही एंट्री मिल सकती है तो ज़ाहिर है कि  लीडर बोर्ड पर वही तस्वीर और नाम दिखेगा जो आपके फेसबुक प्रोफाइल पर है. इसका मतलब ये कि  अगर आप अपनी पहचान छुपाना चाहें और अपनी "सीक्रेट छुट्टियों" या "एडवेंचर्स" के बारे में अपने रिश्तेदारों और दोस्तों को ना  बताना चाहें तो कोई मुश्किल नहीं बस एक फेक आईडी बना लीजिये और बस हो गया ना  काम आसान।  और हाँ ये जो CarConnect वाले हैं ना,  उन्होंने हम users को लुभाने या पटाने के लिए Browny Points का भी इंतज़ाम किया है. जैसे जैसे आप अपने कार और ड्राइव एक्सपीरियंस शेयर करते जायेंगे वैसे वैसे आपके प्रोफाइल पर सिल्वर, गोल्ड, प्लैटिनम, वगैरह badges  के चार चाँद लगते जायेंगे यानी आप  कार लवर्स की इस सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट पर पॉपुलर होते जायेंगे; और तब आपका नाम भी होम पेज के दायीं तरफ की उस साइडबार पर दिखेगा, जिसके बारे में मैंने पहले बताया था. 

मैंने यहां कई ब्लॉगर्स के अनुभव पढ़े, लेह लद्दाख की ऊंचाइयां, जयपुर और मैसूर, विशाखापट्टनम और कोलकाता के रंग ...  यहां सब कुछ है; कहानियां है, कविताएं हैं, Travelogue है  … लेकिन वजह सिर्फ एक  "कार". 

बहरहाल, ये तो हुई अनुभव और परख की बात. CarConnect.in को सोशल कम्युनिटी की तरह तो बनाया ही गया है लेकिन ये सिर्फ इसका एक पहलू है; मान लीजिये कि  आपको इस ब्लॉगिंग वगैरह में दिलचस्पी नहीं  तो क्या ये वेबसाइट आपके किसी  काम की नहीं ?? जी नहीं, ऐसा बिलकुल भी नहीं है. आपको किसी नई  कार के बारे में  जानकारी चाहिए तो यहां देखिये "कार न्यूज़"  और "न्यू लॉन्चेस"  सेक्शंस में आपके हर सवाल का जवाब है.  कारों की दुनिया में होने वाली हर हलचल यहां मौजूद है और उसे लगातार अपडेट किया जाता है, यानी यहां आपका कार ज्ञान बढ़ाने का पूरा इंतज़ाम है.  अगर आपके पास नई कारों के बारे में कोई दिलचस्प जानकारी है और आपको वो यहां नहीं दिख रही तो कोई बात नहीं अपनी जानकारी को दूसरों के साथ  बाँटिये "कार न्यूज़" सेक्शन के ज़रिये।

आप नई  कार खरीदने वाले हैं और आप अलग अलग कारों को compare करना चाहते हैं. तो आइये "Compare Cars" में.  कोई भी दो कार चुनिए, उन्हें compare  करिये, आपको एक पीडीएफ फाइल अड़तालीस घंटे के भीतर भेजी जायेगी जिसमे उन दोनों का पूरा तुलनात्मक विवरण होगा। इस पीडीएफ का फायदा ये है कि  आप इस सारी  जानकारी को प्रिंट कर सकते है, अपने कंप्यूटर में सेव कर सकते हैं  और आपको  बार बार वेबसाइट पर जाने की ज़रूरत नहीं !!!!!!  वैसे "कार न्यूज़" सेक्शन भी आपको किसी भी नई या पुरानी/अपग्रेडेड  कार के बारे काफी अच्छी  जानकारी  उपलब्ध करवाता ही है, लेकिन ये पीडीएफ वाला तरीका मुझे काफी यूनिक लगा. ये उन लोगों के लिए बढ़िया है जो ज्यादा इंटरनेट सेवी नहीं है और जिन्हे हार्ड कॉपी इनफार्मेशन के साथ काम  करना ज्यादा आसान लगता है. 

तो इस तरह CarConnect.in  एक अनोखी वेबसाइट है जो कार और उसे चलाने वालों के बीच के ना दिखने वाले कनेक्शन को अपने  ब्लॉग, चैट रूम और लीडरबोर्ड जैसे फ़ीचर्स के ज़रिये सामने लाती है.  सिर्फ जानकारी मुहैय्या करवाने वाली और कार ब्रांड्स का प्रमोशन करने वाली websites  की भीड़ में  कारकनेक्ट अपने इन lively फीचर्स के कारण यूजर को ज्यादा आकर्षित करती है. ये एक तरह से हमारे गूगल प्लस, फेसबुक, ट्विटर वाले सोशल नेटवर्किंग का ही एक एक्सटेंडेड सर्किल  जैसा है, जहां मशीन (कार) के बजाय मानवीय पहलू ज्यादा मायने रखता है.

A Mouthful of Rajasthan

"Mummy bhookh lagi hai." I spoke while my eyes were still close.

"Pahle bistar se to uth jaa. Neend mein hi khayegi kya?".

I dragged myself out from the bed and headed straight towards the bathroom. 

"so, what was on the menu last night .. In your DREAMS?"  my elder sister Kittoo teased me when I was splashing my face with water.

It is a daily routine thing for me, I am always hungry when I get up from a deep sound sleep. People dream about the things they love and the same goes with me as my dreams are always filled with various flavors, colors and shapes. Yessss !!!!!!!   I dream for Food; eating, cooking and again eating. Good Food Is My Biggest Fantasy; as they say, before eating from the plate, you taste the food through the eyes. Therefore, I always have some room in my little stomach for any sudden invitation of eating or sharing the food,  especially, when it is too attractive to ignore.  

"Aye khaau ladki, get ready; we will be leaving sharp at 11:30 A.M."  

"Ohh, it's the second Saturday again." I chuckled. Every second Saturday is a get-together time for my mother and her close friends and this time it was scheduled at Kukku Aunty's house.

 Kukku aunty is a Food Angel and her home is a holy abode for food lovers like me. She is not just a fabulous cook, but she knows how to present the food. Need not to say, I started dreaming about the MENU. Ok, last time when we were there for a card game she pampered us with home baked cookies and muffins and all those delicacies served in stylish trays.

"Chintu, come here, see this is specially for you." (oh yes, I am waiting for the invitation). 

There it was; sitting in a mini glass plate, gorgeous Raj Kachori .. inviting me to start a journey towards Swadpur. That round shape, crispy golden big brown puffy kachori; It was covered with layers of creamy white yogurt, thick brown Imli ki chatni and green chatni. In fact, kachori was dipped in a little ocean of yogurt, chutnies and the masala. Yellow strands of maheen sev, juicy red pomegranate seeds and green coriander leaves sprinkled over the kachori were appearing as the crown jewels of Raj kachori. At the top of it there was a hole, giving a clear idea of what was stuffed inside the kachori.

Now, it was impossible to control anymore, so my sister and I picked up our tools aka spoons and started digging the Gold Mine.The very first bite was filled with chunks of boiled black grams, boiled potato pieces, dahi-vada, mathri pieces and a rich coating of yogurt-chutni. Next bite was even more yummy, as my tool found many more hidden things in that ocean of yogurt, e.g. strands of beetroot, colorful raita boondi, green chilli, etc. all wrapped up in the crunchy crispy shell of kachori. I was slowly slowly taking the bites form that ocean of colors and then suddenly my sister said, "it is looking like a watercolor painting framed in a glass plate". She pointed towards the mini plate which had an elegantly designed border. I stopped eating and tried to understand of what she was saying. 

Yes she was right, Raj Kachori was now revealing all its treasure. The streams of yogurt, chutnies and  stuffing were creating a mix  pattern of colors and designs. The borders of that shallow transparent glass plate were perfectly holding the delicious painting. After taking the final bite, my eyes fell on a name  that was carved on the bottom of the plate, "BOROSIL".

After the kachori session, we children got busy with some outdoor games and our mothers were  busy with their own games of gossips, etc. After one and half hour , they called us for LUNCH for which I was waiting so eagerly.

I almost rushed to the dinning table, grabbed a chair and took the plate and then I saw those colorful polka dotted plates, bowls and serving dishes.  

The very first dish I noticed was KABULI, that mouth watering authentic Rajasthani rice dish and to increase our hunger it was kept in a transparent deep round glass casserole. All colors of Kabuli were easily visible and it seemed like multicolored gems has been engraved in that shinning glass. Now it was impossible to control, so I took a big serving of Kabuli and put it into my plate. Kabuli is prepared with premium quality Basmati rice and vegetables with a touch of strong whole dry spices. It was decorated with fried bread slices, fried onion rings, generously scattered cashews and raisins, some colorful cherries and of course fluffy paneer cubes. Kabuli is quite different from other vegetable pulav; due to its masala consisting onion-garlic-ginger paste mixed with thick curd and well sauteed in Desi Ghee. Curd gives it a typical sour yet a savoury taste as well as. 

I took a spoonful of rice, every single grain was en-wrapped with the aroma of saffron, curd and ghee. The vegetables and fruits (sliced round potatoes, gram flour Gatta balls, capsicum rings, yam cubes, grapes, pomegranate seeds and apple cubes) were layered with curd masala and thus creating a tangy-sweet-piquant taste. Need not to say that such a big variety of veggies and fruits was not leaving any room for any other curry dish. Fuchsia pink and Indigo blue polka dot design of the plate was matching the Kabuli ingredients. 

"It seems like, the colors of Kabuli and fruits are reflecting on the plate."  I giggled. 

"Don't tell me that you want to eat the plate as well as." Kittoo laughed at me.

"Chintu, have you tried this?" Kukku aunty asked with a mysterious smile and passed on another stunning  round shape glass casserole. I looked at it and my mouth remained open in an awe; golden yellow colored thick curry and light brown color round balls were showing their beauty through the glass walls. 

"I love it. So it is going to be a complete Rajasthani Thali."  I declared while pouring the Gulab Jamun Curry from the casserole into the bowl, while trying to avoid the excess amount of  ghee, which was creating layers within curry and over the jamuns as well.

"Yes, almost." she replied and placed a round glass platter in the middle of the dinning table; that platter had a robust metal stand along with a metal Huck. It was more like a decorative piece rather than a food platter. Square pieces of Malai Ghewar and Soan Papadi  were neatly placed on the platter; both sweets were creating a mesmerizing color contrast on the glittering bright platter. 

Malai ghewar has been an all-time favourite of mine; the crispy orange/brown toast like base structure and smooth khoya cream spread over the base and decorated with pistachio and almond pieces. Sweet and soft topping and a little crunchy base at the same time that is well-capable to take your taste buds to another world. Soan Papdi has a complete different structure, those delicate sheer yellow strands complied in one rectangular shape and small crunches of pistachio sprinkled over the papdi.  It gets melt in your mouth and you don't even get chance to chew it; all you think for one more bite, one more piece.   

"Kukku, is it a new dinner set and new table wares? From where did you buy them?"  My mom asked.

"Yeah, what a stylish platter stand and this melamine is quite lustrous, but anyway after sometime all melamine lose the shine and smoothness." That was Sunita Aunty.

"No Sunita, it is Borosil Melamine, they are stain and fade proof and most of all non-toxic as well as. I chose this BLOOM-FIDENZA collection as I loved the vibrancy and warmth of  this design. I ordered them ONLINE." Kukku aunty replied with a proud smile.

"Borosil !!!  Yeah, I too have heard a lot about it. And, what you saying, bought it online?" Now my mom and Sunita aunty both were awestruck.

Ohh, in this conversation, I forget to tell you about the Gulab Jamun Curry, another unique specialty of Rajasthan. They are not our regular sugar syrup dipped gulab jamuns, which we usually buy from sweet shops, rather those are insipid Gulab Jamuns filled with khoya and cooked with rich cream and spicy curd masala. I took a mouthful bite of gulab jamun curry with chapati. Gulab Jamun curry had a balanced flavour of spices, it was neither too hot nor too dull, it was a perfect rich creamy curry adored with raisins and coconut powder and it seemed that the jamuns has absorbed all the spices and curd flavour in them. The mixed aroma of curd, ghee and coconut powder was creating a relishing environment and of course, it was bringing water into our mouth as well.

"Look, gulab jamuns are also printed on the dinner set as well." Little sonu (Sunita aunty's son) spoke cheerfully.

"They are more like footprints of a small CAT." I laughed.

"These glass wares are also Borosil?" Mom was more curious than hungry.

"Yes, all of them and guess what, they are microwavable and the glass dishes comes with handy grip and lids." 

Awwww, I don't like chatar-patar while eating, so I turned my head towards the other end of the table and found that there are some other dishes, which I haven't touched yet, however, Kittoo has already started with them.    

I took a NARGIS kofta and dipped it into green coriander chutni. Yummm.. It had a fine layer of  besan-rawa outside and inside it had dark pink and green shades of beetroot and green-peas with sweetness of raisins. Koftas and chutni were kept in an elegant round shape glass chips and dip tray;  the dipping bowl was in the middle of it and was surrounded by koftas, fried papad and khakhras. 

Apart from the koftas, there was another melamine serving dish whose lid was half open and some drops of daal were scattered on the edges of dish. I quickly guessesd what it could be... the hallmark DAAL of Kukku Aunty. A combination of three different pulses; split green gram, green gram, split red lentil and split black gram, creating an ambrosial dish. It is a kind of a fusion of north-south style cooking; I took a sip of daal and as I was anticipating, first I felt a strong flavour of sambhar masala along with sourness of kokam-imli and in the next sip onion-garlic masala made their presence in my mouth. 

"Try this Aruna, it has lesser calories." Kukku aunty brought a square glass dish from the kitchen and placed it in front of my mom. I could see that it was a freshly backed dish, some sort of a green vegetable with melted cheese on the top were easily visible and the aroma of cheese and spices were refueling our hunger.  

"Ummm, this sponge gourd is so tasteful; the stuffing is a little crunchy.. what it is.. grounded peanuts ?? and you backed it in the same dish?"

"Yes, I told you naa, Borosil glassware are microwavable."  

"It's looking quite pretty, may I have some..?" Kittoo asked. 

Why Forgetting me, I too want to  taste this backed beauty.

"Emmmm, it is crunchy, creamy and chewy.. where is Turai in it??" I asked while eating a small piece of it.

Finally, we finished the lunch with a chilled glass of Bel Sharbat; I noticed that the glasses have embossed polka dots at the outer surface. Kukku aunty told us that is the Medallion collection of Borosil. For a moment those dots of glass seemed like frozen water drops.  

Not just our stomach, but our hearts were also satiated. It was a celebration of flavours, colours, textures and fragrances.. It was a feast for taste buds and delight for eyes. 

"So, that was My Beautiful Yummy Food Bonanza...  when is the next second Saturday?"  I spoke with utmost innocence in my voice. 

"Next Second Saturday is our turn to cook and host the party, Fat Duck." Kittoo replied.

"Excuse me, Miss thin goat, I am not FAT rather I am a Food Admirer."

Let The Car Speaks The Words

Isn't it correct?  Cars are not just mere object of transport rather they represent our personality and our choice as well as. The company, model, variant and accessories we choose to satisfy our desire to be a proud owner of a classy car; all this explains a lot about us. The travel stories and drive experiences related with a particular car, says a lot about its owner. At CarConnect website, very deeply I felt this. Perhaps, this would have been an important reason due to which CarConnect.in provided a live blog feature on their website; where one can add their personal experiences about cars, travel routes and destinations.  To add the spice into the dish, we can add images and videos  of  journeys/cars with our stories as we usually do in our personal blogs. This, I think is a very useful feature especially, for the car lovers; tell your story to the world, let them know how you crossed the valleys and went across the mountains, deserts. Let the travel cum driver inside you speak about the firsthand experiences of joy, passion, risk and extreme adventures.  

When you open the website, the very first thing you notice is the two big white clouds displaying names of cities and cars. Those names are actually the navigation links that will take us to a related story/news item, etc. At the right side of the website home page, there are experiences of real life people being showcased along with their facebook profile photo. CarConnect.in has made it easier for us by adding the facebook login gadget. Create a profile through your facebook account, join the conversation and expand your circle of friends and partners of GAME. Down there is a button for chat room. So the whole scenario appears more like a social communication forum and less than like one more random website for car related information.  I think CarConnect makes a great combination of a social networking website, which is solely dedicated to car lovers and at the same time providing all the information, news, feeds that one need to know about a Car or Cars .

Yes you get it right.  If one thinks that CarConnect.in is only a social forum where we can share our stories through live blog and find like minded car crazy people then it would be  a little injustice with it. I found two separate distinguished sections namely, New Launches and Car News for latest updates and new arrival of Car Industry. The social element was once again there in the Car News section, as it allows you to add news with images and videos  along with a valid URL of the news source. In one or other way, the website admin is allowing the users to update the news sections; which I felt makes CarConnect highly user-friendly website. 

There is one more section titled Leader Board; initially when I visited that page, I couldn't understand much about it and thought it is displaying the website admins or the expert panel of CarConnect.in. However, I was wrong, soon I realized that this section is the most vibrant feature of this amazing website. The Leader Board showcases the popular members of the site along with the badges earned by them (according to their shared stories/experiences on the website). Here, your name will appear with profile photo and gold, silver, bronze badge would adore your CarConnect profile. Need not to say that seeing your name and profile on a popular website's Leader Board is itself a reward and reaching the audience across the glob is like extra cheese on pizza!!!!! This one single feature makes CarConnect.in personal favourite of every  blogger; sharing our posts on a platform, which is quite bigger than personal blogs and enjoying the benefits of a huge readership..ahhh !!!!!!! Some lesser known or newbie bloggers like me who don't get much traffic on their personal blogs can showcase our work on CarConnect and who knows, one fine day some big publication may find us !!! Yeyy...

In short, CarConnect is ready to connect us with a world of cars, social networking and new possibilities. And of course, we will enjoy all these adventures with a long drive in our favourite car.
